I've been making this since I was in my teens (which is further back than I would like to admit š) and I have PERFECTED this recipe!

Perfect Homemade Chex Mix Recipe:

Ingredients:
- 3 C each of Wheat Chex, Rice Chex, and Corn Chex 
- 1 cup mixed nuts 
- 3/4 C Broken up bagel chips 
- 3/4 C Rye chips 
- 1 handful of pretzels 
- 7 T butter 
- 2 1/2 T Worcestershire sauce 
- 1 3/4 t seasoned salt 
- 3/4 t garlic powder (Honestly, I'm usually closer to 1 teaspoon) 
- 1/2 t onion powder 
Instructions:
- Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 250°F (121°C). 
- Melt butter:Ā Place butter in a large roasting pan (the same one you will put your chex mix in) place in the oven, and let the butter melt while you combine dry ingredients. 
- Combine dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine Chex cereals, pretzels, nuts, bagel chips, and rye chips. 
- Make coating. In the roaster, once the butter is melted, add Worcestershire sauce, garlic + onion powder, and seasoned salt and whisk until well combined. 
- Bake: Spread the mixture into the roaster, stirring well being sure all the pieces are well coated. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. 
- Cool and serve: Let the Chex mix cool completely before serving I usually spread them all out on paper towels. 
Tips:
- It tastes THE BEST the next day :-) 
- Use a variety of cereals: For a more flavorful Chex mix, use a combination of different cereals, such as Wheat Chex, Rice Chex, and Corn Chex. 
- Add your favorite seasonings: Experiment with different seasonings to customize your Chex mix. Some popular choices include ranch seasoning, Old Bay seasoning, and hot sauce. 
- Make it ahead: This Chex mix can be made up to a week in advance and stored in an airtight container.
