Jump to recipe. When life gets busy, but you’re craving all those cozy, cheesy vibes, Ravioli Lasagna comes to the rescue! This one-pan wonder layers up classic Italian flavors with the ultimate shortcut—cheesy ravioli instead of lasagna noodles.

We’re talking about juicy Italian sausage & ground beef, and a rich marinara sauce, all tucked in between dreamy layers of ravioli that practically melt in your mouth. It’s seriously all the lasagna feels without the lasagna fuss.

This dish is a total staple in our house, especially when the days get shorter and the weather cools down. Pair it with my Bombshell Green Beans, a crisp green salad drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette, and don’t forget the garlic bread for mopping up all that extra sauce—an absolute must-have.

If you’re feeling something lighter, roasted asparagus or steamed broccoli would be perfect on the side. And, of course, a glass of your favorite red wine just completes the moment.

So, get cozy, grab that baking dish, and let’s make dinner the easiest thing you’ll do today. Cheers to comfort, a little bit of indulgence, and a lot of flavor!

Quick & Cozy Ravioli Lasagna Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 shallot, chopped

  • 1/2 pound ground beef

  • 1/2 pound Italian Sausage

  • 6 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry

  • 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes

  • 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste

  • 2 cups water + 2 teaspoons Beef Bouillon (or beef broth)

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 2-3 tablespoons brown sugar (depending on how sweet you like it)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Refrigerated Ravioli (I used 3 9oz packages)

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped shallot and cook for 1- 2 minutes until softened. Add the garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  2. Toast the Flavors: Stir in the Italian seasoning, oregano, and tomato paste, cooking for another 2-3 minutes to let the seasonings and tomato paste toast. Pour in the sherry to deglaze the pan, scraping up any flavorful bits on the bottom.

  3. Cook the Meat: Add the ground beef and Italian sausage to the skillet, breaking them up with a spoon as they cook. Sauté until the meat is fully browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. Build the Sauce: Add the crushed tomatoes, water, bouillon, and brown sugar to the skillet. Stir to combine, then season with salt and pepper to taste. Let the sauce simmer for 15-20 minutes to deepen the flavors, stirring occasionally. Adjust seasoning to taste if needed.

  5. Assemble the Lasagna: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom. Add a layer of ravioli, then more meat sauce, followed by a generous sprinkle of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Repeat the layers (sauce, ravioli, cheese) until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of sauce topped with cheese.

  6. Bake: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  7. Serve: Let the ravioli lasagna cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired, and enjoy with a crisp salad or garlic bread for the perfect cozy meal.
